The Journey Process is a very effective tool for self-exploration if you are looking for clarity around your own potential and life purpose. Who better to ask then your own Soul or Soul guide. Knowing about our life purpose is so important because when we make conscious decisions that are aligned to this higher purpose, we are then moving in alignment with our own inner being. As a result, outcomes will be achieved much more smoothly and there will be a lot more power behind what we do. This is what Jacleen wanted to investigate and this is what she had to say about it.

I’ve experienced three sessions of the "journey process". The second was particularly notable as it had two distinct parts to it. The first part was geared to finding out about my hidden capabilities and life purpose…

I entered a landscape where I was to meet my guide for this journey. It turned out to be an English countryside and as I walked Phil suggested that I would meet my guide for this journey. I was delighted to discover that it was to be my step-father, who is in now in spirit. It was amusing to me that as I let go of the conscious world and welcomed the sub-conscious how things naturally fit into place. My step-father was an Englishman, originally from the Black Country of Middle England. He had not consciously been in my mind but there he was, waiting to escort me through a collage of lifetimes depicting myself in various occupations with similar themes where writing was important, as was mentoring and advising. One of these was a lifetime as an Egyptian scribe where it was my job to record history for the Pharaoh, and in another I was an advisor to a Roman senator. I was shown my own demise in each of these lifetimes and was given insights into why I have chosen to involve myself in some of the things that I have in this lifetime. I was shown myself in capacities where I helped empower others into their potential and I was shown myself connecting with Mother Earth and the Soul whilst working in various parts of the world. The latter felt more like a future reality, which would explain some of my current interests and ambitions. I was given clarifications and understandings on what my purpose was here this time. I was also given scenarios on how my ambitions would become reality, complete with possible hurdles and solutions along the way.

None of this was surprising and mostly confirmed what I had already intuited for myself during childhood all the way up to the present day. For example in the last 18mths since my arrival in Australia (I’m a New Zealander) I’ve found myself volunteering in mentoring and coaching positions. These occupations came about synchronistically and had evolved over time. As I learnt and shared I realised that I had a talent in that area. However, what did occur to me was that certain things were highlighted symbolically such as the image of bridges being built, signifying to me that I have a place in bringing people together with regard to their wholistic well-being. In other words to help connect their physical consciousness with their spiritual consciousness.

A little while later during "the journey" into my sub-conscious, another member of my family, my brother Kyle (also in spirit) made himself known. I was given information on aspects of my growing up years… like what the dynamics really were between my parents and their intended agreements of what they would accomplish together, and apart. We spent some time enjoying each others’ company and as the "mutual admiration society" began to fade, and my family said their goodbyes, I was led into a second and very exciting adventure…

With Phil’s gentle guidance I found myself in a completely different direction and I was asked to participate in an initiation of sorts – an experience into my own power. I was asked to venture down into a dark place where ordinarily apprehension would rise, only it didn’t because I had complete license to create the story however I wished, and as I created an amber light somewhere below me I was comforted. I was asked to climb down a ladder (mine was a rope ladder) where I came to a platform. I couldn’t see much in front of me even though I had the amber light but I was aware of another presence nearby. As this presence drew closer, fascinated I watched, and recognition dawned as my Higher Self came into focus.

Words like luminous, ethereal, and powerful spring to mind. This description is not enough. Indescribably powerful energy flowed into me as she communicated with me on a level where we were one. She told me that I had come to rediscover who I am. That my sense of self in the conscious world is not all that I am, and that she and I as one would bring into the physical who I really am. As she related this to me my body unexpectedly broke out in pins and needles. I tingled all over. She laughed and told me that whenever I feel like I’m limited, that I’m any less than who I am, that she will be with me and that I will know it because my body will tingle like this again.

At the time I didn’t fully believe it and still wonder now but it’s so awesome to me that I have experienced myself as that truly powerful being… Now I’m actually looking forward to the next time I feel fearful so that I can remember that experience and test it out. There was much more information that passed between us but not all of it I understood, yet I know that when it is the right time, I will.

As I finish off this sharing I am reminded of a favourite quote of mine…

Jacleen found the information she was looking for and received the bonus of being with two Soul mates who could not be with her for long in this life.

The initiatian journey that I took Jacleen on helped her experience the true nature of her personal power. This is achieved in various ways but the ultimate purpose, as with all initiation journeys, is to throw off the limitations of the ego and enter into the spiritual reality of who we are and what life truly represents. Jacleen moved to Brisbane with her young daughter in December 1999 from Wellington, New Zealand, where she owned a home-based business in resume writing. Since arriving in Australia Jacleen has worked in career coaching and educational mentoring. In May 2001 she came to Phil at the Inner Harmony Centre seeking life coaching training and volunteers part-time as receptionist there.
